CHAMBER SEEKS ART EXHIBITORS FOR FALL FESTIVAL

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications from professional artists and craftspeople interested in participating in the 15th annual New Hope Outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival on Saturday, September 27, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 28, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This esteemed event highlights the work of approximately 135 premier artists and artisans specializing in photography, watercolors, oils, pastels, pen and ink drawings, silver and gold jewelry, ceramics, wearable art, glass, wood, sculpture and furniture. The deadline to submit materials for consideration is June 15, 2008. Applications are available online at www.NewHopeChamber.com.

SPRING CLEAN OUT SALE IN NEW HOPE OFFERS SPECIALTY ITEMS AT DISCOUNTS UP TO 80%

Over 30 independent specialty shops and art galleries in downtown New Hope are taking part in a weekend Spring Clean Out Sale on April 26 and 27. The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is providing red window signs to identify participating businesses. Mechanic Street is closed to traffic on Saturday, April 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a sidewalk sale and musical entertainment (rain date is Sunday, April 27).

GALLERIES & SHOPS SUPPORT HEARTS FOR AUTISM, SECOND SATURDAY, APRIL 12

BOI’s of New Hope Art Gallery (9 W. Mechanic Street) is encouraging shops and galleries in New Hope to recognize National Autism Month this April. A portion of all profits at participating businesses between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. during the town-wide Second Saturdays on April 12, 2008 will be donated to HeARTS for Autism, an area nonprofit dedicated to fostering the use of art as a therapeutic, communication tool for children with Autism.

NEW HOPE CHAMBER PRESENTS ‘BIG CASH GIVE-AWAY!’

In efforts to raise dollars critical for marketing initiatives and special events to support New Hope, Pennsylvania’s business community, the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce has organized a raffle for up to $5,000. The Big Cash Give-Away prize winner will be announced on July 4, 2008 during the Chamber’s annual Independence Day festivities. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

NEW HOPE CHAMBER KICKS OFF HOLIDAY SHOPPING SEASON ON NOVEMBER 24 WITH TREE LIGHTING, MUSIC AND A VISIT FROM SANTA

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce launches the holiday shopping season with the official New Hope Holiday Tree Lighting, musical entertainment by the Bucks County Singers (sponsored by Integrity Studio of New Hope) and a special visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving by horse-drawn carriage on Saturday, November 24, 2007 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Activities take place in front of the Logan Inn and the historic Parry Mansion on the corner of West Ferry and Main Streets. Cider, hot chocolate, candy canes, coffee and chestnuts for roasting are served compliments of area businesses. Local residents, children of all ages, visitors and merchants are all invited to this free, public event, held rain or shine.

On Sunday, October 14th from noon to 5:00 pm, New Hope hosts its first annual motorcycle event. New Hope's retailers, restaurants and residents welcome all law abiding motorcycle enthusiasts to a day of special offerings and events to all legally registered motorcyclists.
